BXB is a multi-award winning development company established by Croydon Council. We aim to deliver properly designed homes for all tenures and and are currently working to deliver around 2000 new homes on multiple sites throughout the borough. The BXB model is designed to maximise the return from development activity to local residents, while also addressing housing need.

Colm is Managing Director and Chief Executive of Brick by Brick and is responsible for the day-to-day running and strategic direction of the company, and the delivery of all schemes. Previously, Colm has held a variety of high profile positions across London delivering some of the capitals most complex and demanding projects. This has included time at LB Newham as Director of Regeneration and Planning leading on the post-Olympic rebuilding of Stratford and the Royal Docks, and at the Greater London Authority leading on major regeneration projects in south and east London. Colm holds degrees in Economics and Urban Design and is a regular contributor to architecture, planning and construction related publications.
Chloë is Head of Design for Brick by Brick and responsible for ensuring design quality is realised on Brick by Brick schemes. She is a fully qualified architect and has over a decade of experience delivering high quality architecture in previous roles as a Project Director at award winning architectural practice Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands and within the highly regarded Placemaking Team at Croydon Council. Chloë was a finalist in the Architects Journal 'Emerging Women in Architecture Awards 2015' and Property Weeks' inaugural '40 under 40' list.
Catherine is Head of Development for Brick by Brick with responsibility for managing of the Brick by Brick delivery programme, ensuring high quality new homes are delivered on time and to budget. Catherine has 15 years regeneration experience at Croydon Council working on a range of mixed-use physical regeneration and development programmes. She is a former director of the Croydon Local Asset Backed Vehicle 'CCURV'.
Luke is Head of Operations for Brick by Brick, with responsibility for the company’s finance, commercial and marketing functions. This includes strategic financial planning, as well as treasury, asset and contract management. Luke is a qualified accountant with over a decade of financial management experience across a range of public and private sector organisations. He has previously worked in management consulting at one of the Big Four where he advised on multi-billion pound procurement programmes at the Ministry of Defence among a wide portfolio of clients, and was most recently Head of Finance at the London Borough of Croydon.
Alison is a Development Manager for Brick by Brick and responsible for the delivery of a number of large developments across the borough. Alison is a chartered surveyor and holds a first class honours degree in Quantity Surveying. She has a wealth of experience of both consultancy and development and has previously held roles at Taylor Wimpey and Rider Levett Bucknall.
Natalie is Development Manager responsible for delivering a range of projects across Croydon. Natalie has led many residential new build, commercial and regeneration projects for various Registered Providers and Local Authorities throughout London. She has holds a degree in Politics from Kingston University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
Suzi is Development Manager for Brick by Brick, responsible for developing schemes through the planning process and delivering the schemes once on site. She has a degree in town planning from the University of Sheffield, a post graduate qualification in Housing and seven years’ housing experience in and around Croydon. Before joining Brick by Brick Suzi held previous roles as Customer Care Manager and Project Manager in the development team at G15 housing association AmicusHorizon.
Robin is a Development Manager who manages the delivery of the Fairfield Halls scheme. He has over 25 years’ experience in construction, landscape consultancy and project management, with experience in private residential, commercial, public open space, leisure and urban design. He has of experience of working within a variety of organisations including large multidisciplinary firms, architecture practices, local authorities and developers on construction projects throughout the UK. He holds an honours degree in Landscape Architecture.
Kerine De Freitas is a Development Manager responsible for project managing the delivery of a selection of Brick by Brick schemes. She is a qualified Building Surveyor and also qualified in Town Planning Policy and Practice. She has over 20 years’ experience working in local authorities, project managing building improvements and the delivery of major mixed use regeneration schemes.
Minal is Development Manager responsible for delivering projects across Croydon for the Brick By Brick programme. She is a qualified Project Manager with over 30 years’ experience of working on capital and other projects that deliver on economic, social and regeneration agendas. Minal is particularly experienced at managing complex and diverse stakeholder relationships, and providing strong leadership within multi-disciplinary teams.

Jayne is a non-executive director of Brick by Brick and currently runs her own private property investment vehicle (Red Grouse Properties). She has previously been CEO (Europe) of Multiplex plc, Managing Director of Anschutz Entertainment Group, Group Development Director of MWB Group Holdings plc and Divisional Managing Director of Redrow plc. Jayne is currently a Board member at Skanska, the London Legacy Development Company and Crossrail and is chair of DIO (formerly Defence Estates) at the Ministry of Defence. Jayne is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Lisa Taylor is a non-executive director of Brick by Brick and a qualified accountant. She is currently the Assistant Director of Finance And Deputy Section 151 Officer at Croydon Council where she has worked for 7 years. Lisa was appointed to the Board as a council nominee in January 2016.
Jeremy is a non-executive director of Brick by Brick and has his own property platform (Rockhopper Real Estate Ltd) providing strategic advice to landowners and investors. He has over 30 years experience in the real estate market and extensive knowledge of development projects in all property sectors. Jeremy has completed in excess of two million square feet of real estate in Central London, with a value greater than £1.5bn, across the residential, commercial and mixed use sectors. He has worked at senior level with Qatari Diar, Morgan Stanley owned Omega Land, Exemplar Developments and Climate Change Capital as well as spending 18 years at Grosvenor Ltd. He is a former Trustee of the Zoological Society of London, a steering committee member of Building Futures Group for the RIBA as well as a non-executive Director at both Soho Housing and Seymour Street Homes (British Land).
